St. Benedict Catholic School opened in 1908 with eight grades and 66 students. Today, the school enrolls approximately 215 students in eleven classrooms. This includes a Preschool for 3-year-olds, a Pre-kindergarten for 4-year-olds, and one classroom for each grade Kindergarten through the 8th grade.

They loved discovering how plants, animals, and people are all connected and nothing could dampen their spirits as they picked their own plants to brew fresh tea! 🌱 A truly unforgettable, muddy adventure.

The fun doesn’t stop when the school day ends! Our after-school programs give students the chance to explore their interests, build new skills, and connect with friends. 💙 This trimester we have:

Our 4th graders love diving into new stories every week exploring, reading, and discovering new adventures through their book selections. With the help of our amazing librarian, Mrs. Bartram, they dive deep into the world of letters and stories! ✨

Ever wondered what DNA looks like? 👀 Our 8th graders, with the help of Ms. Miskelly, discovered it by extracting DNA from strawberries! 🍓🔬 Learning genetics in science has never been this sweet!

In Spanish class, Ms. Sosa and the students honored Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing the amazing contributions of Hispanic people in art, science, politics, sports, and education. 👏

St. Ben Bears Go Big at the XC Championship! 🐻💛💙
The St. Ben Bears were all smiles at the CYO Championship at Lower Woodland last weekend! Our 49 runners raced against 47 other teams and made us so proud.
👏 Congratulations to our top ten runners: Clive (Gr. 6) placing 5th and Luke (Gr. 7) placing 6th — an incredible achievement with nearly 100 runners in their races!
🌟 Shout out to our Top 20 runners:
Cormac (Gr. 4) – 11th
Matias (Gr. 4) – 14th
Magnus (Gr. 4) – 15th
Noah (Gr. 5) – 15th
🔥 These runners also achieved personal records (PRs) throughout the season:
Cormac, Magnus, Matias, Jude, Henry, Noah, Clive, TJ, Luke, Jonathan, Ceana, Addy, Francine, Laine, Yuna, and all our kindergarten, first, second, and third graders!

Our students aren’t just learning kicks and punches , they’re building confidence, focus, and discipline through Kung Fu! 🐉 As part of our after-school enrichment program, kids get to stay active, practice self-defense, and have fun while learning a martial art rooted in tradition.

First Grade helped Sam the gummy worm survive his boat accident 🚤🍬 Using only popsicle sticks, they needed to work together to flip his boat upright, place him in a life preserver (peach ring), and put him back in his boat. Mr. Anderson even stopped in to help. Lots of teamwork, problem-solving, and giggles along the way 💡🤝❤️
