Music: Music classes are offered for students in Prekindergarten – 8th grade. In addition, students in grades 5 – 8 are welcome to join our Band classes, and students in grades 3 – 8 are welcome to participate in our liturgical choir. Each spring, students in grades 5 – 8 are invited to perform in our Spring Musical.
Physical Education: P.E. is offered to students twice a week. In addition to PE classes during the academic day, after school CYO athletics run throughout the school year emphasizing teamwork, fair play, athletic skills, leadership, and self-confidence.
Art: Art instruction is offered to students in Prekindergarten through 8th grade. The goal of the art program is to develop confident and competent artists who can express themselves using a number of different artistic mediums.
Spanish: Students in Prekindergarten through 8th grade receive Spanish instruction over the course of the week. Our youngest students learn vocabulary, culture, and simple conversations. As they grow older, the students gain a more academic understanding of the language and progress through a high school text book.
Library: Our library is open to all grade levels. Library time is a chance for our youngest students to enjoy a story read to them by our librarian and for our older students to conduct research projects. All grade levels have the opportunity to check out books to read in class or at home.
Technology: St. Benedict School primarily uses Apple products including two classroom sets of laptops and a classroom set of iPads. Technology classes take place in our Flex Room for our students in Kindergarten to grade four. We teach our students valuable computing skills and, as they get older we ask our students to integrate them into their classwork.
Health: This class is specially designed for our middle school students. Weekly Health classes focus on the importance of physical fitness, nutrition, and developing healthy living habits.
